A great article on what to do if you've been defamed, or what to do if someone is spreading lies about you or damaging your reputation.

Someone has hijacked my site

I came back to this site to start posting again only to find some fool had hi-jacked the site and it went straight to the sale of the tag-board domain.

Fixed it now.  Thankfully.

I'm also just posting to let you know I'm here!

More to come, I am back guys, back with avengeance!

Hassaan Bashir

My cousin, Hassaan Bashir, is looking at getting married. He is trying to find a wife.

Every day on gmail chat I ask him a variation of a question on whether he is married yet or not. Most people say hello to start conversation. I start conversations with him with openers such as: "Marriage?", "shaadi?", "married yet?", "married?", "girl?", etc. While these openers are entertaining, the response is becoming stock standard and boring. His response varies between "no" and "nothing". He then takes a long time to reply to my follow up questions.

My attempt to branch out to other topics of conversation has been a complete failure. I've asked him questions about whether he wears a religious veil and whether he donates money to the Mosque. These are not interesting topics of conversation.

I know I have NO readership at all anymore, but if you do happen to stumble across this page and you are interested in marrying my cousin let me know. Its good for you, me and him. You get a husband, he gets a wife, and I get to hear an interesting story for once!

MBF

Last year I switched health funds to MBF, because they were giving away free movie tickets each month for new members. I thought it was a great idea, because then I've really got cheaper health insurance due to the bonus movie ticket.

The problem was the cinema's that accept the tickets are all in timbuktu. In short, I end up paying heaps for petrol and there is no way I can possibly get there without soaking up a lot of time. There is a good word used to describe this. That word is "rort". These tickets are about as useful as a chimpanzee in a snow storm. What am I going to do with them?

- I might trade these tickets with a chimpanzee for a banana

On phone

The other day I was talking on the phone to someone in a different office when a graduate walked into my office and proceeded to stare at me. Being the Great Dr G I am used to being stared at, its part of the responsibility that comes with being Great, but I also need to make sure I keep confidentiality with the person I am speaking to.

He looked bemused, because he could hear me talking, but I seemed to be directing my conversation to the receptacle I was holding up to the left hand side of my face instead of to him. He just stood there like a fish looking for an umbrella shop on a rainy day.

I decided to help him out, because he clearly needed it. I got out a yellow post it and wrote on it "On phone" and then stuck it to my forehead and looked at him.

He came closer to read the message.

He then said, I know you are on the phone.

Good. He learns quickly.

Reposting

So I've been thinking I should start posting here again. I had to cut off this site due to 'technical difficulties' connected with a number of different people, none of whom are around anymore. This means that The Great Dr G is back, and you can all come out of your caves and bask in my wisdom and glory.

- The Great Dr G is back.

Dodgy Email Accounts

Everybody knows that email servers give you heaps of space - but that it comes at a cost - use. I had a hotmail account for some time, yet hotmail deleted my account and all my emails because I didn't log in regularly enough. This has happened to me many times.

Hotmail resisted the temptation to offer people more than 2MB even though everyone else was offering way more for quite some time. I would have thought they'd recognise that the more space you have, the more spam they can send you. I mean, its not as though my real emails can get through anyway.

The purpose of this post is to provide some light entertainment, but mainly to keep this site alive. I don't know if its as dodgy as hotmail is, but it represents an important part of my past, as well as significant entertainment value for many others, and I don't want to lose it. Hence, I will sporadically post.

-Hotmail is dodgy.
